Backyard
A neighborhood coffee shop in Dubai built around what a backyard means in the stories we grow up with: green, generous, and open only to the people you invite. That invited circle became a cast of characters who live inside the brand.
Persona Office is a brand identity studio. Everything a journalist or editor needs is on this page: who we are, selected projects and how to reach us.
Persona Office was founded in 2020 by art director Roberto González. With a team across Mexico, the US, Colombia, Spain, Italy and Tokyo, the studio designs complete brand identities from scratch, with much of its recent work in the United Arab Emirates. Every identity is built around one central idea, taken from a real cultural reference and translated into graphics.

The first identity Persona Office designed in the Emirates. The concept comes from the owner himself: what happens when you focus only on having a great day? Things became a coffee shop where every small thing feels like a little bit of magic.
A rebrand for a Dubai patisserie that treats every pastry like a piece of art. We went back to the Belle Époque, the moment everyday life in France started to become art, and translated it into something minimal that works today.
A coffee roastery built around everyday heroes: the teddy bear or pet that makes us feel brave when we are small. Two characters, Frogo the frog and Salem the black cat, go on adventures across the coffee, the product and the service.
A hidden fusion restaurant built on a play on words: kitchens guard their recipes, so Matterr became the only secret worth sharing. Black and white with vivid accents, and illustrations of characters diving into a bowl because the food is that good.

Roberto González is a Mexican art director and the founder of Persona Office. He started the studio in 2020 with one rule that still guides every project: a brand is built from a single central idea, taken from a real cultural reference and translated into graphics.
From Mexico, he leads a team across six countries and has spent recent years building identities for cafés, restaurants and patisseries in the Emirates, the work behind the studio's line: We connect cultures.
He also shares the method. He is the art director of Functional Practice, a publication that explains design, branding and identity one clear idea at a time, and the author of three books written for designers and business owners.
